After graduating with a business degree, I started my career as a trainee chartered accountant with BDO Stoy Hayward, where I was involved with every aspect of accounting, from bookkeeping for sole traders to auditing multi-million pound manufacturing companies.

 

My next career move took me to BMW Financial Services where I was a securitisation accountant, handling the setting up, day to day management and financial reporting for tranches with a total value of £900 million and that is where my love of systems was born, along with an almost obsessive use of Excel spreadsheets!

 

Since then, I have gathered a wealth of experience in different sectors.  I left finance for a while and became a PA to a self employed entrepreneur and  later a business manager for JD Healthcare.  My roles have demanded expertise in finance, administration, systems, customer service and staff management.  I have experienced the pressures of running a business with the endless administration, reporting and HR issues involved, that take you away from the actual business you are trying to focus on and along the way I have developed a passion for systems that streamline and simplify the everyday tasks.
